Surgery Update

My surgery went well. I am home resting. The good news is they didn't have to remove my tube or ovary. The bad news is they saw nothing that they expected. They were very surprised. The found a few free floating balls filled with cysts. They successfully removed them and we're waiting on pathology reports. They also found a large mucous filled tumor behind my uterus that they did not remove. The dr wasn't comfortable doing so because it was not her area of expertise. They did a "wash" so they could test my fluids for some answers and were able to take a small biopsy if the tumor. So the bad news is that the main cause of my pain is still there. I am having a colonoscopy next Tuesday. Then eventually another surgery to remove the tumor.

I'm at home resting, have three incisions, so it hurts to move. Thank heavens for wonderful family members, friends and ward members.

Jeff's surgery went well, and according to plan. He's been a real trooper caring for me yesterday and today. He still has pain , and has to rest, but he has been recovering well.
