We went to the zoo on Saturday. It was a great day to go and get out, and better than late June or July heat! Looking at the penguins. It was great that we got to seem them so close!

The Ostrich was so close! It was down in the pit right by the fence. He was just standing there watching everyone, like he was visiting the zoo seeing all these unique people!
Maci and daddy 'looking' at the giraffes! If the animal didn't move, Maci didn't care, she wasn't looking! She found more interesting things like grass, other babies, the fence, the water, etc. But she did give us many giggles and grins when the animals were moving!
Ashton had a blast too. It was hard to help him see the animals though when they were high on a rock or branch and sleeping. He said his favorites were the cockatoo that said Hi, Hello and whistled at us, he liked all the monkey, including the orangutan that waved and blew kisses, the baby elephant and the giraffes.
