We went to the Chalk Art Festival at the Gateway on Saturday. We went a couple of years ago, by mistake, we were downtown for some reason, and it just happened to be going on while we were there. It was fun. They have adults and students with dedicated spaces to make their creation. Quite a few were reproductions (like the above M.C. Escher) from Disney's Peter Pan (there were quite a few) to a atleast a dozen Alice in Wonderland, many from the recent film. There was a cute repro from a children's book, and John Singer Sargent one too. It was fun. We looked at them all, let the kids play in the fountain, then voted and went home for dinner. They had a stage w/ Radio Disney there, and several booths, but we didn't stop at any. We went with our good friends the Kays.
Our little group.
Maci wasn't a fan of the fountain. She preferred to be held, and she enjoyed it that way. Ash and Logan were soaked. We decided to just leave ash in his clothes and not change him into his suit. It was pretty hot out, so the fountain was great.
