Days and Clouds Movie Review

Upon reading the back of the DVD the description was not very enticing. I wasn't wanting to see a movie about a couple under going financial difficulty and that break up.
"Well-to-do, sophisticated couple Elsa and Michele have a 20 year-old daughter and enough money for Elsa to leave her job and fulfill an old dream of studying art history. After she graduates, however, their lives change. Michele confesses he hasn't worked in tow moths, having been fired by the company he founded years ago. Elsa overcomes her initial shock by pouring extra energy into facing the crisis, while Michele, exhausted by an unsuccessful job hunt, lets himself go, alternating between vivacity and apathy. The growing distance between them eventually leads to a break-up. Only when they part will they realize that they risk losing their most precious possession: the love the binds them."

Great, let's watch a couple struggle the whole movie and break up. It took me time to get into it knowing that a break-up was going to happen. However it was a fabulous film! The break up was actually for only 24 hours, so not even a real break up in my opinion. So that was good, but it was very well written, the acting was amazing, and it truly gave hope. It was very captivating and I highly recommend it! And yes, it is an Italian film, but don't let reading subtitles scare you away. It is very well worth it! It was nominated for 15 'David Di Donatello Awards" (Italian Academy Awards). This movie was Jeff's choice, he thoroughly enjoyed it too, good pick hun!
