A favorite book

We rented this book months ago from the library. We renewed it the two allotted times because the kids LOVE it! I don't love the illustrations, but after the rhyming cadence of what the duck is doing, you read the words of him playing the kazoo, the sound: La Ditty, Da Ditty, Zoozoo.  We quote it all the time, ash quotes it all the time (Jeff and I say this frequently from the book "Heavy things, tired wings, zoozoo"). We go to the library weekly to pick out movies and books, and out of all the many ones we've borrowed, this is the one that has suck with Ashton.

We also LOVE Gossie. "Gossie is a gosling, and small yellow gosling who likes to wear bright red boots. Everyday. She wears them when she eats, she wears them when she sleeps.........." and so on.  Gossie is the first, but there is also Gertie, Ollie, Peedie and Booboo. They learn little lessons, like sharing, not being grumpy, etc. LOVE them!

Sandra Boynton. If you don't know who she is and her books, you are SOOOOOO missing out! They're funny, clever, and fun for adults to read. They're simple board books, but they're fabulous! This above was the first in our collection, and we only have a handful. She has soooo many! The illustrations are the same, they're fun, they teach lessons, counting, or just plain silly. Her website is great too! Sandraboynton.com
