Camping

Last Thursday, Ashton had his first camping experience. We camped with family (thanks Marianne and Greg for inviting us!!!) up Santaquin canyon. It was a lot of fun. We wish it could have lasted longer. Ash loved the dirt. He was playing with it and rocks more than anything. Thankfully the fire didn't interest him much, so that wasn't a problem. He didn't sleep very well sharing the bed with Jeff and I, he tossed and turned all night, and woke up sad quite a few times, but then Friday after we got home and before the night time festivities, we all took a long nap.

Dad created a new 'game' for Ashton that he just loves. Ash was upset any time one or more of his parents left his sight, which was inconvenient for the times we had to make trips to the bathroom. The entertainment/game dad started doing was putting the back of your had to the mouth, and pulling away making a loud 'waaaaaaaah' sound that is deep and throaty. Ash starts to do it anytime he sees his granddad.
Ashton loved playing and waving around the flag. It was pretty cute. Mom had the truck doors open and was blasting a patriotic CD. So they bounced around with Ash waving the flag.

Ash running around with the flag again.
