I have had a fear for over 10 years now of frying in oil. I don't do scones, or anything of that sort. When I was 12 we had a mutual activity where we went to Ensign Peak and afterwards had scones. A big vat of oil got knocked over and scalded one o my leaders. It burned her badly on both her legs. I have been too afraid to do anything of the sort since. Jeff would always do the oil and I just stayed away. Last night I made tostadas for dinner, and I fried the corn tortillas! I DID IT! Although, I still hesitate to do fries or scones. Maybe one day. One step at a time though!
